繰り返すがあまりにも地味マキシマムなゲームであり、夜中に1人でプレイしていると多分プレイヤーも暗く陰鬱な気分になって夏の暑さを忘れられる。クトゥルフゲーらしく、あまりヘマすると主人公は発狂して死ぬシステムを採用しているのも欝ゲーっぽくてイイ。こんな地味なゲームを6年間もかけて開発していた Headfirst Productionsの人たちはどんな気分だったのだろう（ちなみにこの後、続編の予定はキャンセルされて会社も消えた）。
